The Project

The Arvada Cohousing site is a 2 acre piece of land on the west side of a proposed New Urbanist neighborhood. It is bordered on the south side by the Ralston Creek bike trail and to the west by large beautiful Cottonwood trees and spectacular views of the mountains. We anticipate a community where neighbors are connected in a way not available in traditional development.

The community itself will include 60 energy-efficient townhomes and 35 cohousing homes of various sizes, each with its own private area or porch facing common areas or a central gathering place where much community activity will take place.

In addition to the private homes, the community is to include common areas such as a community house, ample bike storage, kid’s play areas and green space. Also being considered are a hot tub and a well-equipped workshop.
